September Rewind

This month I....

Celebrated two birthdays; my youngest brother turned sixteen on the 8th of September and another turned twenty-four on the 15th.

Took Louis and Oliver to the vet for a check-up (Louis' third and Oliver's very first). Neither one enjoyed the experience, but both were healthy!

Freaked out over the release of Library of Souls! AHHHHH!

Watched The Scorch Trials in theaters and freaked out some more.

 People I've Been Obsessing Over:

I have been experiencing a fresh wave of love and respect for Dylan O'Brien this month, particularly after seeing The Scorch Trials. UHG, HE'S SO ADORABLE.

Because I've been so obsessed with building things in The Sims 4, I have spent quite a few hours this month watching similar videos on Youtube and found this guy. His builds are gorgeous and I enjoy watching his videos and learning some new techniques as well.

His girlfriend broke up with him, his best friend is a pest, and his mentor keeps trying to hide him away in the mountains where maybe he’ll be safe. This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do.

This afternoon, her planet was invaded.

The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit.

But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. Teaser Tuesday [September 22]

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jenn of A Daily Rhythm. All you have to do is grab your current read, open to a random page, and share two teaser sentences (that don't give too much away).

This week's teaser:

"Wait," I said, "first, you should know—under the boat, there's—"

And then the tarp was ripped away, and I never did finish that sentence.
