The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan

▫ Thoughts on the book so far:

The ending to this series was just as good as I remembered! I had lots of time to read on day six, so finishing this book was relatively easy. Gripping, fast-paced, action-packed and fun, I absolutely love the Percy Jackson series and I don't need an Oracle to know that there will be many, many PJO rereads in my future.

I completed The Titan's Curse on day two, and it was just as good as I remembered! This series will forever have a special place in my heart, and I love going back to read them over and over again. 5/5 stars. It was a very exciting, fast read. Though I had planned to pick up another books after TTC, I ended up picking up the next book in the series, The Battle of the Labyrinth instead.

Weekend TBR [July 1-3]

The weekend is here! Here is my TBR for the next few days:

1. Flipping The Scales by Pete Tarsi: My progress last weekend was pretty much the exact opposite of what I had wanted to accomplish. Instead of completing Flipping the Scales, I finished The One by Kiera Cass. So, once again, I would like to make it a goal to get at least a little further in it book this weekend. I cannot really bring paperbacks to work with me—I carry around a bag full of first-aid supplies, sunscreen, pens, and various other poke-y, book-damaging things, so hardbacks are really the only books that stand a chance—so this has been one I am only able to pick up on the weekends, hence my slow progress.

2. The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan: I bought this book last week and my complete love for Rick Riordan's writing/characters has pushed it to the very top of my TBR. I am currently 200 pages into it and really enjoying it so far; I hope to pick it up in between chapters of Flipping the Scales!

Shelfie [June 6]

Shelf #1: Rick Riordan

At 21 books, Rick Riordan is my most read author, and probably most owned as well (do not quote me on that, though. I haven't counted my Harry Potter books in a while). Because of this, he gets an entire shelf dedicated to his work! I was first introduced to his Percy Jackson series through the release of the movie, and it was basically love at first... page. From there, I read the Kane Chronicles, moved on to the Heroes of Olympus, and recently picked up the first book in the Magnus Chase series as well. I have yet to read his newest book, but it is definitely at the top of my TBR!
